Cool Running developed Couch-to-5K to help new runners complete their first 5K. Their gradual training gives walking and jogging interval training to build you up to run a 5K. The program requires you to workout 30 minutes a day, three times a week for 9 weeks. The app helps you select, sign up and get a discount for a 5K running event in your area, keeping you motivated. There are 5 virtual coaches, Johnny Dead, Constance, Billie, Sergeant Block and a lovely dog named Pumpkin. All with their own style so you can select what works best for you. The app provides the usual running data such as distance, time and pace data.
