MyFitnessPal is one of the most popular nutrition tracking apps with a database of over three million foods. The user is asked a series of questions when you first open the app to help you establish your goals, such as if you want to lose weight, gain weight or maintain weight. On the homepage, there is a simple view of your daily calories, how many calories you have consumed, calories burned from exercise and your remaining calories for the day. When inputting what you have eaten, there is the convenience of quickly selecting saved items from these categories: ‘My Meals,’ ‘My Food,’ ‘Recipes,’ and ‘Frequent.’ MyFitnessPal also has ‘My Exercises’ for quick input of cardiovascular and strength exercises you have done. Many popular fitness trackers such as Fitbit integrate with MyFitnessPal. Through MyFitnessPal’s website you can input food and exercise as well as access community forums, groups, and larger views of your data.
